Drew O’Neil named to Golden Spikes Award Watch List
O’Neil was one of three Big Ten Player’s named to the preseason watch list by USA Baseball. He joins Michigan’s Zach Putnam and Purdue’s Josh Lindblom on the prestigious list.
The Golden Spikes Award is one of baseball’s more prestigious awards. It’s sponsored by major league baseball and has been awarded for thirty years. While it technically open to any amateur baseball player, it has always been awarded to a collegian.
