Big Ten Top Ten Pitching Lists (thru games of 4/17)
Here’s the pitching equivalents of my top ten hitting lists. To get on the list, a pitcher must have one inning pitched for each of his team’s games. That makes it difficult for some of the top relievers to make the lists. I’ll put together a separate list that includes those guys at a later date.
First list of interest is Wins:
Closely related to wins is winning percentage:
One of the most well known measures – ERA:
Not quite as well known but a key stat anyway is opponent’s batting average:
Strikeouts per nine innings:
Strikeout to walk ratio:
Walks plus hits per inning pitched, a key sabermetric measurement:
