Lions fall in series finale vs Spartans

Just an extremely disappointing weekend. The Nits entered the weekend just a game away from third place in the Big Ten and they exited it just a half game away from falling to seventh.
This was the first of three weekend where Nits should have been able to make a move up the Big Ten standings to cement a decent seed in the tournament. Now they are fighting to qualify for it.
The second game on Sunday was the second time over the weekend that the team had as many errors as they did hits. They had four hits and four errors on Friday, and three hits and three errors in this game (and two of them came in the ninth when the game was well out of reach).
