Nits hold off late Iowa rallies, win game one 6-5

It’s not every day that you see a runner thrown out at the plate on a wild pitch. Much less for the last out. And even much less when it would be the tying run.
Drew O’Neil really stepped up today. He threw over 40 pitches in his two innings of work last night and there’s no way that I thought he’d be available today. Yet he comes in and get PSU out of a big jam in the sixth and then comes up with the dramatic save in the seventh for another two inning save. His arm must feel like rubber.
