After giving up late-game leads in the first two games of the series, the Penn State baseball team avoided a sweep at the hands of Northwestern (9-21, 3-3 Big Ten) Sunday with a 6-5 win.
The Nittany Lions (13-17, 2-4) overcame two separate deficits and broke a 5-5 tie with an RBI single by freshman Elliot Searer in the bottom of the seventh inning.
