Purdue’s baseball team scored four unearned runs to defeat Penn State 4-3 at Lambert Field on Sunday and finish off a three-game sweep.
An error by Nittany Lions third baseman Jordan Steranka allowed Purdue (20-14, 5-4 Big Ten Conference) to score the tying and go-ahead runs in the bottom of the eighth. Drew Wurdack earned the victory while striking out four over 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.
